It’s evening again and I have nothing to do. But in an attempt to kill time before bed, something on the internet almost killed me! Really. In a seemingly harmless article in the otherwise reputable British media outlet BBC, referring to an as yet unclassified species of hallucinogenic Chinese mushrooms, I noticed an attempt at ugly suggestion and mockery of readers! What’s more, an attempt at insidious identity replacement through subliminal programming! In short, the Chinese mushroom species in question, which also has varieties in the Philippines, caused hallucinations of little people. But let readers see for themselves what little people we are talking about, without having consumed the hallucinogenic mushrooms in question! Here is the original image accompanying the text:

It is evident that even without hallucinations, one can understand who would have an appetite for such mushrooms! It would definitely be primarily the female audience, while the author of the article (a certain Ms. Rachel Nuwer) certainly feels an irresistible hunger! Let’s wish her success in raising the necessary funds from her fees to go on a trip to China, where she can finally get enough of this product that she is clearly so intrigued by!
